This new satellite system includes integral audio communications, data and images and allows the Peruvian army to communicate with our 214 garrisons throughout the country. This means that border posts – previously nearly incommunicados – and anti-terrorism bases are now all interconnected. Without a doubt this will strengthen the fight against drug trafficking. It is a very advanced system, very versatile and allow us to communicate from anywhere in the country.
Besides that, the system will also spread social progress because new communication technologies like this one can also be used to promote education in the most remote areas of the country.”
